Lewis Model.
German's people is the Linear- Active culture , the type of the person tend to be task-oriented, highly organised planners who complete action-chains by doing one thing at a time, with a linear agenda. They prefer direct discussion, sticking to facts and figures from reliable, written sources. the Germans are linear-ative because they adopt all these attitudes mentioned above.
This Lewis model helps to understand the cultural differences that exist between the country of Colombia and that of Germany, these two cultures , colombians are at completely different points, becouse they are multi active and the germans are linear-active it is for this reason that they can have problems of adaptation since their cultures have totally different orientations, when settling down in the city a German can find problems of logic, of planning, of organization and their need to have everything under control can become shocking for the barranquilleros who are very impulsive and tend to do many things at the same time. ,
Lewis' model is not so much about seeing in which cultures we can do well or badly, but about showing people around the world the differences that exist in cultures and the types of customs and attitudes that are completely different from what we are used to and that we can learn a little from each of these.
